 1. Union government has launched India Nuclear Insurance Pool(INIP)of 1500 crore rupees. India is the 27th country to do so in the world. This is set up by General Insurance Corporation and 11 other insurance providers.

1. Union Government has removed the customs import duties for drugs and test kits related to HIV/AIDS. This will be in effect till March 2016.
2. Google has launched a new lite search engine targeting the slower networks in India and Brazil. It expected to consume 80% less data and 50% faster connection of webpages.
3. The second border haat/ rural market was opened in Sipahijala district of Tripura. It is in zero line of the border and will have half share of India.

4. Bombay High Court today declined request to lift the ban on Maggi Noodles following a request from Nestle India.
5. RBI has allowed NRIs to invest money in the chit funds to increase the capital inflow to the country.
6. Nek Chand Saini, the founder of Rock Garden in Chandigarh passes away.

7. Reserve Bank of India has allowed postpaid mobile service, piped gas and water supply bills to be submitted as proof of address for opening account with banks or other financial institutions.

1. Union Cabinet today approved the Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal Motor Vehicle Agreement similar to SAARC Motor Vehicle Agreement which will regulate vehicular traffic of passenger, personal and cargo in the BBIN nations.
2. Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar has been appointed as the Director of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. He was appointed by Prime Minister of India.

1. Union government has approved Rs6000 crore for soft loan for sugar mills to pay arrears to the farmers. In the country sugar mills owe 21000 crores to the farmers as they were not able to sell during the falling prices of the raw sugar.

2. Confederation of All India Traders has decided to launch its own e-commerce portal after months of fight with online retailers.
3. Finance Minister has cleared it that AC restaurants will charge a service tax of 40% on total bill amount while non AC hotels won't charge anything.
4. Government will release 26000 crores at one go for the states which are struggling for the water scarcity.
5. Government has launched a website for the International Day of Yoga which is to be heldon 21 of this month. The website mea.gov.in/idy.htm gives all the details about the programmes to be conducted internationally on the day. 
6. Maharastra government has decided to create a non banking financial services to utilize about 40000 crore rupees lying un-utilized in state run corporations.

1. Union Home Ministry has appointed Senior IPS officer RC Tayal as the DG of National Security Guard. He is a 1980 batch officer from Assam Meghalaya region presently serving Special DG in paramilitary CRPF.
2. Former Chairman of CBDT KV Chowdary has been appointed as new Central Vigilance Commissioner. Vijai Sharma has been appointed as new Chief Information Commissioner.

4. India and Netherlands have signed a MoU for development of Measles-Rubella vaccine.

1. Leaders from across the G7 countries have come to Bavarian Alps in Germany to attend the annual G7 summit. G7 countries are the most advanced economies comprising of the US, UK, Germany, Japan, France, Italy and Canada. Russia has been excluded from G8 since the annexation of Crimea war.


2. India has slapped anti dumping duty on certain steel products from Malaysia, China and South Korea. It was imposed by Finance Ministry on direction of DG Anti Dumping Duty. It is imposed for five years.

1. Union government has started Jal Kranti Abhiyan to make one village of each district as water surplus village by conservation and management techniques. The village which would be the most water scarce village as Jal Gram.
2. Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank have signed a memorandum for cross border business and trade flows across various regions.
3. India and Bangladesh exchanged the instrument of ratification of Land Agreement today. 
4. Adani group and Reliance group will together produce upto 4600watts of power to ease crisis in Bangladesh.
5. India's first green police station inaugurated at Maurice Nagar, New Delhi. It is joint effort of students of DU and police officials.
6. Eminent biologist Ameenah Gureeb Fakim has been sworn in as Mauritius first woman president.
7. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu today performed pooja and laid stone for the new capital city of Amaravathi.
8. Rahul Dravid has been named as the coach for the Under-19 Cricket team of India.
9. P.Kashyap bowed out of the Indonesian Super Series Badminton Championship.

1. India-US have signed a new Defence Framework Agreement. It was signed between Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar and US Defence Secretary Aston Carter. It aims for exchange of armed forces and strengthening defence abilities.
2. India has joined Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information. By this India will be able to receive information from every country which will help avoiding international tax evasion.

1. Union government has launched Khoya Paya web portal where people can report, track and upload information on missing children. It was launched by Union Minister of Child and Women Development Maneka Gandhi and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.


2. Union Government has launched the world's largest digital mass education programme IAP HealthPhone Program.in association with Ministry of Child and Women Development, UNICEF and Vodafone India. It aims to educate people on health and malnutrition.
