GK Update 10 June 2015

1. Union government has approved Rs6000 crore for soft loan for sugar mills to pay arrears to the farmers. In the country sugar mills owe 21000 crores to the farmers as they were not able to sell during the falling prices of the raw sugar.

2. Confederation of All India Traders has decided to launch its own e-commerce portal after months of fight with online retailers.
3. Finance Minister has cleared it that AC restaurants will charge a service tax of 40% on total bill amount while non AC hotels won't charge anything.
4. Government will release 26000 crores at one go for the states which are struggling for the water scarcity.
5. Government has launched a website for the International Day of Yoga which is to be heldon 21 of this month. The website mea.gov.in/idy.htm gives all the details about the programmes to be conducted internationally on the day. 
6. Maharastra government has decided to create a non banking financial services to utilize about 40000 crore rupees lying un-utilized in state run corporations.
