GK Update 22 May 2015

1. Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, former Union Minister Dasari Narayan Rao and ex-Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda have been granted bail by a special court of Delhi in association with the Coal block allocation case.
2. SBI has signed MoU with e retailer Snapdeal for providing cheaper loans to small and mid sized business.Under the Snapdeal Capital Assist programme, sellers or manufacturers will be able to access liquidity at attractive rates from SBI, with women entrepreneurs getting a further concession of 0.25%.
3. The President's Estate has become WiFi enabled as President Dr. Pranab Mukherjee has inaugurated 24 Hot Spots with 30 access points.4. Finance Ministry sanctioned Rs 5223 crores for IOCL and BPCL to cover all the revenue loss from January to March for selling kerosene and domestic cooking gas in government rates. IOCL will get Rs 2932.62 crore while BPCL will get Rs 2291 crores.
5. US Ambassador to India Richard Rahul Verma said that bilateral tarde may go up to $500 billion from current $100 billion dollars. 6. China may take 25-30 percent stake in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and India could be the second largest shareholder.7. Today is International Day for Biological Diversity. 

8. Six boxers have moved in to the semi finals and L Devendro Singh moved to the finals of Doha World Boxing Tournament ensuring 7 medals for India.
