GK Update 3 May 2015

1. Sudhakar Kondisetty, SpiceJet's senior vice president for information and technology has resigned. He is the second top official to quit after new owner Ajay Singh took the charge.

2. India' foreign exchange reserves touched a new high as it rose by $1.4 billion to $344.6 billion.
3. Rajasthan government has allocated 12 crore rupees for Project Great Indian Bustard whihc is being financially supported by Japan Bank.
4. Project guidelines for the ambitious 48000 crores Smart City project would be finalized by the next week.
5. Chinese software firm ZTE has planned to invest 600 crores in the smart city project over 5 years.
6. Rafael Nadal has been awarded with Golden Medal for Merit for his work in Spain. Nadal often called as King of Clay has won 14 Grand Slam titles.
7. Maharashtra state transport has banned the use of "Horn OK Please' phrase from the back side of trucks and Three wheelers.
8. Hero Moto Corp has introduced 2015 Passion PRO with a starting price of 47550INR for kick start and 50600INR for self start model (prices are of ex showroom Mumbai).
9. In the 'Fight of the Century', Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao. By this win, Mayweather has retained his WBC and WBA welterweight titles and seized the WBO titles from Pacquiao to unify all the three titles.
