GK Update 19 May 2015

1. PM Narendra Modi is returning to India after his 3 nation visit to China, Mongolia and South Korea. India signed many pacts with all the three nations during his visit.
2. The Parliaments Accounts Committee has ordered a probe by an appropriate agency for the bidding process of Ultra Mega Power projects.
3. HP has decided to sell 51% of its Data process business to Tsinghua Unigroup for an estimated value of $2million. 
4. Google has planned to help three NGOs for supporting child safety. The three organisations are ChildLine India Foundation, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, and the Chennai-based Tulir - Centre for the Healing and Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.
5. IDBI Bank has planned to expand its number of branches to 2000. At present the number of branches is at 1700.
6. Global energy subsidies is planned to cross $5.4 trillion this year. This will indirectly put adverse effects on efficiency, growth and inequality. 
7. A Sukhoi Su-30 aircraft today crashed at Juria in Nagaon district. Both Pilot and Co-pilot were safe but two persons sustained injuries standing in the site.
8. INS Karavatti launched its anti submarine warfare class stealth corvette to strengthen its defence warfare.
9. Zimbawean National team has reached to play 2 T20 and 3 ODI, becoming the first nation to come to Pakistan after six years. They were taken amidst tight security.
